Qatar Airways Move to New Airport Home in Doha & Ongoing Expansion

Qatar Airways Ongoing Expansion

Qatar Airways, has seen rapid growth in just 17 years of operation, to the point where today it is flying a modern fleet of 134 aircraft to 144 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.

Qatar Airways’ highlight anticipated services from Edinburgh to Doha commenced on 28 May 2014.  Scottish travellers benefit from significantly reduced journey times to Asia and Australasia with just one smooth international transfer.  The new Edinburgh route is not only the first for the city to the Middle East region, but also Edinburgh’s fist scheduled service on one of the world’s newest aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

New routes over the past few months included Miami, USA (June 10, 2014), Tokyo Haneda, Japan (June 18, 2014), Dallas/Fort Worth, USA (July 1, 2014) and Djbouti to come (July 27, 2014).
