Dubai International Airport Continues Expansion
The new Concourse D of Dubai International Airport will open on 24th February 2016 following a successful public trial that took place on 6th February.
The new concourse will raise the airport’s overall capacity from 75 million to 90 million. The new concourse will become home to more than 100 international airlines operating from Terminal 1.
Lufthansa recently sent out an invitation for the opening of its new senator and business class lounges on 3rd March.
In total there are nine lounges including five airline lounges, a new AI Majlis lounge, two Dubai International Hotel lounges and a Marhaba VIP lounge.
Food and beverage outlets include a casual dining concept from celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, the first Pret a Manger in a Middle East airport, the region’s first Camden Food Company outlet and a CNN News Cafe, as well as a Caviare House and Prunier seafood bar.
Concourse C, previously for international carriers, will be refurbished this year and become exclusive to Emirates.February 18th, 2016
