British Airways – Threatened Industrial Action February 2017
British Airways has advised of proposed industrial action on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th, Sunday 19th and Monday 20th February.
British Airways has also advised that Mixed Fleet Unite, which represents one of their five cabin crew fleets, are threatening to hold further industrial action on Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th and Saturday 25th February.
British Airways have communicated that all customers will be able to fly to their destinations in February, despite the further proposed industrial action.
If you are due to travel on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th, Sunday 19th or Monday 20th February they have confirmed:
- All flights to and from London Gatwick will operate as normal
- All flights to and from London City will operate as normal
- The vast majority of flights to and from London Heathrow will operate as normal
As part of their contingency plans, they will be merging a small number of flights to and from Heathrow on the four days of industrial action. This
Customers affected will be contact with options available to them to travel on an alternative flight.
If you are due to travel on Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th and Saturday 25th February, British Airways have advised that all customer will be able to travel to their destinations. The contingency plans will be published for this over the weekend.
