Ian Allan Travel - part of the Ian Allan Group of companies, whose
other interests include publishing, printing, motor dealerships,
organic products and property management. The Group was founded
in 1942 and remains a privately owned and family run business. We
are based in Shepperton (near London Heathrow Airport) and provide
a full range of corporate, meeting and leisure travel services.
We are widely recognised and respected in the industry for our quality,
innovation and ability to provide corporations and the corporate
traveller with effective business travel solutions.
Ian Allan Travel refocused its operations in the early 1990's and
today provides a technically advanced and expanding travel management
service. Lysaker Travel Management, based in Bristol and originally
established in 1966 as Brocklebank Travel, later becoming Cunard
Crusader World Travel and Cunard Travel, was acquired in 1999 and
became part of Ian Allan Travel in late 2002. Management by Air
with offices in Slough and London and formed in 1981, was acquired
in mid-2002 and also became part of Ian Allan Travel later in the
year.
Guild of Travel Management Companies
- Ian Allan Travel is an established member of GTMC, the Guild of
Travel Management Companies, a highly influential body whose membership
accounts for over 80% of all Scheduled Airline tickets issued within
the UK. Ian Allan Travel Chairman, Paul Allan has been an elected
member of the Guild's executive committee since 1987, was the youngest
ever Chairman when elected to the position in 1993 and 94. The GTMC
Hotel Guide offers special rates at an extensive range of hotels
world-wide. Guild agencies are kept up-to-date with the rapid application
of Technology by their technology Working party as ATB's replace
air tickets, as ticket-less travel becomes a reality and as the
Internet develops into a usable tool for business travel management.
Formed over 30 years ago, the GTMC is far more than a trade association
fighting for its own interests. It has become the industry's seal
of quality and a guarantee of high standards.
Ian Allan Travel also operates Ian Allan Event Management,
a separate division specialising in Trade Fairs, Conference, Incentive
