AircraftTHE Tour Operator for THE Aviation Enthusiast …. Ian Allan Aviation Tours in association with the new and exciting Aircraft magazine the UK's best selling monthly aviation magazine for classic aviation enthusiasts - organises aviation tours led by aircraft enthusiasts for aircraft enthusiasts: from long weekend tours in Europe to 10-21 day tours to countries around the world. Please refer to the contact details below if you would like a copy of our latest brochure.

Our annual tour programme comprising of approximately 25-35 tours per year are researched and organized by a team led by Graham Dinsdale, a professional aviation tour organiser with nearly 40 years experience. All tours are escorted either by Graham or one of our experienced Tour Managers who are themselves aviation enthusiasts.

Aircraft magazine comes in 13 exciting issues a year and is the work of the best writers and photographers in the business. Aircraft is the magazine for the true aviation aficionado, and continues the rich history of Aircraft Illustrated established over 40 years ago. The magazine offers a contemporary take on the greatest years of aviation, the glory days of charismatic aircraft: from the most famous historic airlines to the most exciting military jets of all time – coverage is second to none!

Our programme of Aviation Tours throughout the year will include all the different areas of aviation: civil, military, classic and antiques, warbirds, preservation and restoration, museums and air shows – and more.

Whenever possible, pleasure flights will be offered, as an option, on some of the most famous and classical aeroplanes flying today: civil and warbirds!

All visits to military bases, and the taking of photographs, are to be confirmed - unless stated otherwise in the tour itinerary.

Visits to civil airports and airfields will include ramp tours wherever possible, and at museums we ask to look around their workshops and restoration facilities.

At some of the famous cities and places we visit, the itinerary may well include a sightseeing tour and/or free time to enjoy the local attractions, go spotting, shopping or relaxing. All long-haul tours depart by air from the UK on the scheduled services of the world's major airlines. In-country we travel by deluxe coach and stay in superior 2-star (minimum) hotels or motels. There is no overnight coach travel. Some of our shorter European Tours are by deluxe coach, Eurotunnel rail services or on overnight Ferry Crossings (we offer single and twin berth cabins).

Overseas enthusiasts are particularly welcome to join us, either in the UK or directly in the Country being visited. Please ask for our special "Land Only" prices.

In planning our tours we refer to "Aviation Museums and Collections of the World", a series of excellent books by Bob Ogden containing comprehensive details of aviation museums.

Meals are not included in the tour price unless they are part of the room rate.
